Town Square Mall and Gulfside Villages provides close proximity shopping experience or you have the option of traveling a short distance down Overseas Highway for additional shopping.  Several seafood markets are available for wholesale purchases. Marathon is also home to some unique new water sports trends known as "Kite boarding" and "stand up paddle boarding".

Marathon is known as the family and boating destination of the Florida Keys. The famed Seven-Mile Bridge is one of the world's longest segmented bridges, and visitors from around the world flock to it for the annual Seven-Mile Bridge Run race.
